How Leak Detection Reno collects, uses, and protects your information when you call, email, or book leak detection service in Reno, NV.
Last updated: October 25, 2026
1. The Short Version
Most privacy policies bury the honest summary under ten screens of boilerplate. Ours is short enough to lead with, because the way we handle your information really is simple: our website collects almost nothing, and our service business collects only what it takes to find and fix your leak. Here are the four things we'd want you to know before reading anything else.
- This website has no forms — no contact form, no booking form, no newsletter, no account logins. There is nothing to submit, store, or breach through this site.
- We receive your information through three real-world channels only: when you call us, when you email us, and when we perform service at your property.
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information — not to marketers, not to data brokers, not to anyone, ever.
- Questions or requests about your data? Email us or call — a person answers, 24/7 for emergencies.
The full policy below explains each of these in detail — what we collect through every channel, exactly when and why we share anything, your rights under Nevada law, and how to reach a human about any of it.
2. Who We Are
Leak Detection Reno LLC (“Leak Detection Reno,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a locally owned leak detection and repair company headquartered at 698 N Arlington Ave, Reno, NV 89503. We provide non-invasive leak detection and repair services to homeowners, property managers, and commercial properties across Reno, Sparks, and the greater Truckee Meadows in Washoe County, Nevada.
This policy covers two things: our website at leakdetectionreno.com and every service interaction you have with our team — by phone, by email, and at your property. It applies to all customers, prospective customers, and visitors, and it is written in plain English on purpose. If any part of it is unclear, call us at (755) 227-9923 and we'll walk you through it.
3. Information We Collect
Because this site deliberately has no forms, there is no “web submissions” bucket of your data. Everything we know about you comes from four places — three of which you choose to start, and one of which is just ordinary web server plumbing.
When you call us
When you dial (755) 227-9923, we see the number you're calling from and, if you offer it, your name, service address, a description of the problem, and scheduling preferences. During emergencies, we also note the safety guidance we gave you — for example, where we directed you to shut off your main valve. These details are logged in our scheduling system so any member of the team can pick up the history when you call back or when the technician is dispatched.
When you email us
Emailing leakdetectionreno@gmail.com gives us your email address, the content of your message, and anything you attach — typically photos or video of a suspected leak, which we encourage because they help us triage faster. Email carries standard technical metadata (timestamps, routing information) that our provider records as part of normal mail delivery.
During on-site service
When we work at your property, we record what the job requires: the service address, access instructions, our findings (leak location, moisture readings, acoustic and thermal results), and the photos included in your written report. If you book a repair, we collect billing information at that time — payments are processed through an established payment provider, and we never see or store your full card number on our own systems. If you ask us to share documentation with your insurance carrier or adjuster, we keep a copy of exactly what was sent.
Automatically, when you browse
Like virtually every website, our server keeps standard logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — for security and troubleshooting. The only third-party content this site embeds is a Google Map of our office location, which loads from Google's servers under Google's privacy policy. That is the full extent of automated collection on this site.
What we never collect
We never receive form submissions, because this website contains no forms — no contact form, no quote form, no booking form, no comments, no accounts. We don't process payments through the website, we don't collect sensitive categories of information (such as Social Security numbers, health data, or biometrics), and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above for one overarching purpose: to run a trustworthy local service business. In practice that means the following specific uses, and very little else. We don't profile you for advertising, we don't enrich your data from outside sources, and we don't use your information for anything unrelated to serving you and operating the company lawfully.
- Schedule, dispatch, and perform the leak detection and repair services you request
- Provide live safety guidance during emergencies — like walking you through shutting off your main valve
- Prepare quotes, invoices, and warranty records for work performed
- Produce the written reports, photos, and cause-of-leak documentation included with every detection visit
- Respond to your calls and emails, including follow-up on open jobs
- Comply with Nevada licensing, tax, and record-keeping obligations
- Improve scheduling routes and response times across our service areas
- Share documentation with your insurance carrier or TMWA — only at your request
The legal footing for these uses, in plain language: we process information to perform the service contract you've requested, to operate our business legitimately (scheduling, records, safety), to comply with Nevada licensing and tax law, and — for things like sharing reports with your insurer — with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by calling or emailing us.
7. Data Retention & Security
We keep your information only as long as the purpose for it lasts. Scheduling and job records are retained while a job is open and afterward for warranty support, tax, and Nevada licensing requirements. Detection reports are kept for years rather than weeks — customers regularly need them later for insurance claims, resale disclosures, or comparing a new symptom to an old repair. Email is retained while it's relevant and deleted when it isn't. When information no longer serves a legal or practical purpose, we dispose of it.
On security: access to customer records is limited to the team members who need it for their role, our devices are password-protected and encrypted, and payments run through an established provider so full card numbers never touch our systems. And because this website has no forms and no accounts, there is no database of web submissions for anyone to breach — an architecture decision we made deliberately. If a data incident ever does affect information we hold, we will notify affected customers promptly and in accordance with Nevada law.
8. Your Privacy Rights — Nevada & Beyond
Nevada residents: under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A, you may direct a business not to sell your personal information to third parties. We'll make this easy: we don't sell personal information at all, so there is nothing to opt out of — and if you'd like that confirmed in writing, email leakdetectionreno@gmail.com and we'll send you that confirmation.
You may also ask what information we hold about you (call records, emails, service reports), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Reach us by phone or email — no forms, no portals, no verification gauntlet; we'll confirm your identity the same way we already do when you book service. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. The only limits are records we must keep under tax, licensing, or warranty obligations — and we'll tell you exactly which records those are and why.
If you're a resident of a state with its own privacy law — California, Colorado, and others — we extend the same treatment to you: no sale, honest answers, and a human on the phone. And if you'd prefer we never call you for follow-ups, just say so; we honor do-not-call requests immediately and permanently. We don't operate marketing email lists, so there's nothing to unsubscribe from.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are directed to property owners and adults making decisions about their homes and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the structure of this website makes it unlikely a child would ever appear in our records: there are no forms to fill, no accounts to create, and no games or content designed for minors. If a child somehow contacts us, we'll delete the information promptly, and a parent or guardian can request the same by calling or emailing us at any time.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top — that date is the authoritative version number. Material changes (a new data practice, a new service provider category) will be called out clearly rather than slipped into the fine print. Your continued use of the website or our services after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy; if a change ever bothers you, call us — we'd rather earn your trust than argue with a paragraph.
